If you run memstat at server console

1496476K of 2097024K used, and that is with an empty server, no game playing.

The downside of putting LAA on the server is that we may end up with a server too loaded for most clients to use. The clients will need LAA also, or 64 bit. I'm all for pushing this old tech past its limits :lol: but our players will need to be prepared too.

The textures are I think 256x256 for most of them. We might be able to switch to a different texture format that is smaller, but making the textures themselves smaller will look like shit. 256x256 is already pretty small. That file is 80mb because we have so many maps. The distribution for WSVoting ...

It seems like part of the problem is CSVehiclePack. When a map loads, all of the stuff embedded in the map is loaded. Then any references outside the map e.g. Minotaur.u get loaded. Then all the mutators and their package references get loaded. This means every vehicle in CSVehiclePack gets loaded e...

I tried applying the LAA patch to the server.

NFO will not let us do it. I cannot rename, delete, do anything with ut2004.exe on the server. They have it locked down.

Just don't one-off mod vehicles at all and leave them consistent across all maps. This is my main gripe about Tek. It's a good map otherwise. All the vehicles on Tek have a health bump. And it's 25000 not 20000! :lol: Change the load out or spawn times, but messing with the health changes the game ...

The more I thought about it, the more I realized it's just that dumb map it's good on. On other maps it's pretty weak. I don't think it should be nerfed any more. Maybe make it move a little slower but it's probably fine as-is.
