It's not so much the levi spam in game play. When you fire the main cannon of the levi, the server CPU usage jumps up like 50%. Having a bunch of levis is problematic for the server itself.

last night we had a number of levis in our core that were standing on end, stuck. Someone kept trying to drive them off the tables and they would end up that way. In your next edit can you make levis only spawn on the ground? You can't really get them off the tables without a lot of work and luck. O...

If I take the UTCompOmni.u from the server, emoticons don't work when run on my local lan + server.
If I pull the latest code from OmnipotentsONS repo and build it, emoticons work again. I wonder if failed? maybe there was unsaved change?

The mechs are 4x the size of a player. When figuring out damage I took that into consideration, so linkatron should be doing 4x a normal link gun.

And mind you it still dies in half a second from most tank lasers, less than that from the supremely OP Lightning or Link Mechs. Maybe you should start looking at nerfing the mechs instead? Don't nerf my damn mechs. They already take 6x damage from LG, 12x damage from headshot and have less health ...
