Re: Minimizing crashes and x86 vs. x64
Anony-poo, he subject was computers crashing while playing UT. Just thought I'd add my obnoxious, not-quite-obviously-tongue-in-cheek-enough two cents.

Or players could just use Macs, which hardly ever crash.
I don't know why gamers prefer PCs. Oh, sure, Macs don't have access to the wide variety of hacks and cheats that PC users are so fond of but...uh.... um....
Never mind.

Re: LinkVehicles 3.0
"showdebug" was enlightening but I couldn't turn it off in-game (you tricky bastard!). Had to forfeit. No biggie as I'll probably never use it again. But "endfullscreen" and "togglefullscreen"? That will come in handy. Thanks, Anon! BTW, thanks to all you code monkeys f...

Re: LinkVehicles 3.0
That kdraw collision option is AWESOME! It gives the game a wonderful techno vibe from the early days of vector-based games.
What other cool console options you been keeping to yourself?

Re: Netspeed, FPS caps, and practical UT2004 networking explanation
Excellent overview, Anon.
Though, for me, it's just "keep pressing buttons until I kill someone or I die".
Still fun, though.

Fun with netspeed
Since we can set our own netspeeds:
80085
31415 (pi)
42023 (trump indicted)
12741 (pearl harbor)
42666 (the answer to everything is the mark of the beast)

Re: Bandwidth Fix
Something curious.
I changed my netspeed to 50000 but couldn't see other servers using the "Internet" tab. I had to lower it to 25000 to see other servers. (Onslaught only)
UNLESS the servers were in my Favorites, then it didn't matter HOW high I set the netspeed.

Re: Bandwidth Fix
How does one adjust such netspeeds? (Using a Mac, if that makes any difference.) Thanks!
