Client crash

I game on Linux. A year or two ago, I almost never had client crashes. Now they are nightly, sometimes before the first match, almost always after 3 games. In the former, the error is that an index > maxGlobalSerializedPointers (or something like that, I'm paraphrasing). After wiping the cache, it s...

Re: Game stuck on loading screen

I was thoroughly impressed the first time I installed and used Solaris (actually OpenIndiana) for a file server. I never really appreciated it until it was gone :( though. Same for DEC actually.

Bad ideas all around. Slated is a unique classic, do we really want to lose it? There are enough randomizers.

Re: ONS-Hyperblast2, potentially an Airmars replacement

Would suggest removing the lamprey as too OP. You can wreak a lot of havoc in the ship laying waste to those on foot and flyers, all the while healing yourself (not to mention building nodes from the safety of your vehicle*). And scooping up the DD in there just makes it worse. * although you STILL ...

Re: Fire manta

Here we go again. Not every vehicle has to be good at everything. It's okay to have strengths and weaknesses.

<s> Can we also make it so you don't have to get out of the vehicle to build a node? </s>

Re: Enyo

I think win % matters most. The reason win % can be deceiving is because that's determined by the long term average quality of teams you're on. Leon, despite being a very good player that's very aggressive on nodes, only has a 49% win stat. That could be because he just unluckily gets put on lots o...

Re: ONS-Magnanimous_Lucid(B8)_ExJ

When playing the map with only a few players, it's prudent to take the flyers and move fast. But the lamprey owns them all. You'd have to sit in a boat or alligator to take it out. So yes, too powerful against foot soldiers and flyers. Would be nice to have a flying counter or at least reduce the sp...

Re: ONS-Magnanimous_Lucid(B8)_ExJ

Why did you have to ruin it by putting in a lamprey?

Re: ONS-SpankArena

I wonder if this is really the best venue. An open valley, like Valarna but smaller, might be more fun. The time we played it, you could spam the enemy node directly from the spawn point. Made it very tedious. Being that vehicle heavy also needs 2 paths to the core. I like the idea of concussion rif...
