I guess the question becomes, what does Linkatron supposed to do? Be the ultimate close range Anti-air beam sweeper? Or more of a Linker, fast node building, fast vehicle healing? And remember the beam is continous vs single shot so its always on, infinite ammo. Remember its 25% more than Heavy Link...

Reduced the LinkMech (Linkatron) beam to a more reasonable value. You can see it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fLXPt5p0BPHrEqPE_rDfif_jvAkgVdG__DaZyrSi1XE/edit#gid=0 Was 45 (Link gun is 9, Heavy Link tank 19) is now 25. So still over 25% more powerful than HeavyLink Tank... With one ...

Did a quick test on 64-bit.. it was almost universally half the frame rate, offline as the 32 bit version. Probably a bunch of config I need to do....

Yep, I've reduced them a couple times and I swear sometimes its fine other times its completely blocking.

Hmm.. have to retry the 64-bit as a client. It wasn't good as server, but perhaps for a client.

The game is nearly entirely CPU bound And single core? I played at lower res yesterday, things felt smoother, regardless of fps. I haven't tracked CPU useage though. I don't have exactly a super modern PC (Skylake 6600). I don't do much other gaming so I don't see need to spend $$$ for an upgrade.

Good catch. I know I've turned it off for many other projectiles, especially on fire vehicles. And guessing its on by default in the projectile bioglob? If there isn't we should make a subclass in BioTypes... I've disabled it globally for me, but yeah it needs to be off. Too bad it makes some really...

Hmm I wonder if running a lower res would speed up the fps, make things clearer? Although usually offline my fps is 400+ on the server varies by map and usually > 100, often >150 (Monitor is only 165 ..) On you video things seemed pretty clear, especially on that guy on the hill. So maybe lower res,...
