That's what I had read, that ONS/Vehicles was much more intensive than say DM.
Plus there was a good article on tick rate on why you don't want it too high either as impacts weapons.

Can we try 30, like ceons server? If it sucks we can put it back.

Given that they run on Linux and us on Windows, we are similar I can bump it up a bit later today, going to do some other .ini edits.

Nice! Not sure if you saw but there are new versions of csbomber and csadvancedarmor packages. Working on mechs now.

Increased tick rate from 28 to 30, lets see how it does.

We had 23 players on dria randomizer last night. Seemed to do very well. I noticed Starbolt and Guppy Bomber primary fires felt much smoother.

Yep, I check and didn't see any CPU spikes on the health charts either.. so far so good.

Any cpu spikes last night?

It's weird that increasing by 2 helps so much, at least for me.

I think maybe the engine doesn't like the odd tick rates, or maybe the weapons and vehicles are mismatching to 28.

this is for minigun, but the idea would be the sames for other weapons

Thanks for changing it :)

UT2004 is entirely IPC bound, you can take a look here to see how the E5 compares to a modern CPUs.

The 11600K is 1.66x faster at stock clocks, but can be overclocked to be 2x faster. The 5600 is cheaper than the 11600K and can be overclocked, but AMD CPUs are a bitch to overclock. The 12600K is 2x faster at stock clocks, with overclocking it can be over 2.3x faster. The 12100F is 1.73x faster while only costing $110 and requires no overclocking; the most sensible choice but not as large an upgrade as the 11600K or 12600K with overclocking. However, the price of any of these CPUs is cheap once you consider this game is 18 years old and any players lost due to poor server performance are gone for good.
