Re: EvenMatchOmni
No.
The only thing its set to do is to not allow team switches if it makes the numbers uneven.

Re: EvenMatchOmni
It's working as designed.
Code: Select all
EvenMatchDebug: Assigning sn)o(rf (410.40 PPH) and Xexx (329.21 PPH)
EvenMatchDebug: sn)o(rf will be on red (now 827.72 PPH), Xexx will be on blue (now 827.64 PPH)
Re: EvenMatchOmni
I don't think overall player PPH is such a bad metric, but map specific PPH is a terrible concept. We should consider changing the balancer to use only average pph, if that's not a ton of work.captainsnarf wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:01 amIt's working as designed.
It ranks me higher than Xexx. This is the problem. PPH is not a good way to balance teams in ONS.Code: Select all

Re: EvenMatchOmni
Removing map specific PPH shouldn't be too hard.
I'm not sure if it does average PPH without looking at sources again but I would hope so. I looked at the scoreboard last night and crossdefault had 1 kill and 3600 PPH

Re: EvenMatchOmni
So I saw something the other night with some PPHs were off, basically because the times looked off...I tried to get a screenshot of it but failed.had 1 kill and 3600 PPH
Maybe check that if we see something throwing the timer off.

Re: EvenMatchOmni
New version! Download here EvenMatchOmni_3.2.zip
Changes
- Swap odd player after PPH is calculated to the weaker team (was random before)
- New config value bIgnoreMapSpecificPPH. Don't use map specific PPH when calculating new PPH. Values are still saved but not used. Default is true.
I would upload it to the server but I screwed up the redirect last time I tried I'll let pooty do it.
