I seem to have this map fixed....

Sweet! It's a neat map. Chicks, monsters, weird sounds, lots of stuff :)

I have it mirrored and nodes set up. I have to figure out why the monsters didn't mirror though, only one side has them.

I want to leave them in but right now they are kind of brutal since they spawn inside near the core

I've been slammed at work, but we've just hired a bunch so that should start to ease up over the next month or so.

So the one thing that has me completely stumped is the monster spawning. There's scripted trigger with two events
WAIT
ACTION_SpawnActor'myLevel.ACTION_SpawnActor10'

Trouble is I can't find any UT script for 'myLevel.ACTION_SpawnActor10' Nor can I find any Actor10 either by name or tag. I am guessing there's either an actor on the map (which I can't see /find) or small script that controls where they spawn.

Snarf any ideas?

Maybe try the batchexport command?

Well, that didn't work. I got the custom health pack and the hot chicks out, but that's all that extracted. Sad news is the hot chicks are adrenaline which won't show up in an ONS game.

I have them in there..they just don't get you going like adrenaline does...they are just for looks.

Found the monsters :)

If you select the scripted trigger in the 'search for actors' window, you should be able to copy/paste it from the 3D view.

It has two actions, wait for event and spawn actor

It spawns a 'skaarj' monster from the skaarj pack.

There is no script for it. You click the 'actions' and add a new action. If you copy/paste it, you might need to change the 'ActorTag' to something unique.

Yeah I finally found that too.. mysteries of the editor..

That wasn't my only issue though, when I copied the half of the map there were also triggers, movers and events that got duplicated.. so a trigger in one spot was causing two events (instead of one to happen). So basically I'd trip a trigger on the red side, and the monster Event (via Tag) would happen on the Blue side which was confusing. Plus I wasn't sure the Location Offset was working right either.

So now I have to go clean a bunch of those up too.. There's triggers for sounds, monsters and other stuff. Its not difficult just a PITA.
There's still a decent amount of work to clean up the map. But having a few monsters spawning adds a different dimension to ONS.


Now that I know how to spawn monsters I need to put the Xenomorphs on Alien2.
