I think the primary fire is a bit too much (seems like I am on an OP theme today). It generally wipes out flyers with the high rate of fire, think super fast shock rifle and you have 900 health. Maybe reduce the rate of fire just a bit (and maybe increase the momentum/knockback), so that most flyers don't get one shotted but might get spanked all over the place?

Sure I can reduce it.

I don't have the code in front of me at the moment but I believe it's only slightly more powerful than badger minigun spam. It might even be less powerful. The knock effect makes it more annoying though.

Yes, most flyers if hit repeatedly have no chance of recovery. Its ok against most tanks (badgers excepted).
I'd say leave damage alone just reduce rate of fire.
