Either team can poison any portal. The opposite team will become poisoned going through it.

If it was already poisoned then it would remove the poison. You could shoot it again and poison it for the opposite team.

You can poison one side before you've created the connecting side. Is this what you were seeing?

Nope. Its bugged I think. I couldn't create the portal. Usually I'd alt fire to start it, then fire to create the other end. Tried it fire,alt-fire.
Got some message about poisioned... but it never created both portals.

I think Anon saw the same thing.

This is fixed now.

I made it so primary fire destroys the portal, alt fire poisons it. But due to a bug, those were immediately affecting the portal it created, so in case of primary fire it would destroy it immediately, and alt fire poisoned it immediately. Sometimes it worked, depending on the surface you tried. It was a race condition in the touch event.

I think the poison feature needs changed. You should only be able to poison enemy portals.

For your own portals, since poison does not hurt your teammates, it's always better to poison them so enemies are damaged coming through it. It makes your portal more powerful, when the goal was being able to make their portal weaker.

Yeah I wondered about that, as one of the best strategies was to fly through the enemy portal to look for the Marvin... if the enemy poisoned their own, it as you mentioned makes that harder.

New version on the server!

This changes it so you can only poison the enemy's portal not your own.
