It played better but still had some huge fps drops for me anyway down into the 100s, but still playable.
I do love the demolishing buildings.

Re: ONS-MinusRhampedEdition
The framerate should improve the more buildings are destroyed. They drop beneath the antiportal in the terrain so they shouldn't contribute to the poly count.

Re: ONS-MinusRhampedEdition
Right but as they drop and since they don't have anti-portal the map becomes one big open area, which is why the fog/cull distances become important.

I've actually reuploaded it since I removed the giant antiportal and instead filled in the void beneath the terrain, which is less expensive than an antiportal. The performance was a bit better.

Re: ONS-MinusRhampedEdition
I just got to mess around with this map today solo. It's super cool! I don't mind the drop in FPS but then again I'm used to around 80 during normal play.
Can the mothership be destroyed? And is there some kind of invisible barrier preventing you from being able to shoot from the ground up to the mothership? I keep killing myself on accident with that center nuke.
Also, when I fly into it, my view glitches and everything disappears except the skybox. Then I eventually die from something.

I still couldn't get to node 8. Why is it upside down? Its hard enough to get in there between sentinels and being out in the open?

Re: ONS-MinusRhampedEdition
The mothership itself can't be destroyed. Anon's V2a version fixes the view glitching inside the mothership. I fucked up the antiportals in the bottom entrance, but the side entrances should work fine. I think I might've forgotten to remove a blocking volume in the center that unintentionally blocks the nuke from being shot straight up.YEAAAHHHHHHHHHH wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 1:21 pm Can the mothership be destroyed? For the turrets defending the mothership, the odin can be used to blast the exterior ones for free and fliers can be used to pick off the interior ones if you hug the corners correctly. I've also seen players use the mino to blast the center node and the surrounding interior turrets, but that requires knowledge of where to position it. You can also bail out and peek with the shock rifle to kill them too. There are two jumppads inside the mothership that send you straight into the node. Right next to the jumppads are the node teleport pads that can be linked to build/heal the node so you don't have to link the node itself.
I made the middle node intentionally difficult to take to make the map more playable at varying player counts. At low playercounts, it is a tactical blunder to try and clear it since every player is needed to push the rest of the map, and by the time you'd eventually clear it, the enemy team would own most of the map, basically gifting the center to them. This focuses the battle at fewer nodes, allowing for more fighting and less node racing. At high playercounts, your team can decide on whether to try and take the center before the enemy team takes the sides of the map, which opens up more tactical gameplay that is unique to this map.

I've uploaded the 'reuploaded' version from above.

Re: ONS-MinusRhampedEdition
I've since fixed the map list. Sorry it was still the old version in the list. Should be fixed now.
