Stupid question...
How do those that know how to talk on public do it?
I thought I figured it out but it leaves my voice on public after I tried it... and I don't think the other side / Enyo heard me either.
Do I have to hold the activate microphone button then press/hold a key assigned to the "toggle public channel" (or "speak in public"?), then remember to toggle it back to team? Just an odd way to define the controls in the Input Menu.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Public Voice Chat
The way I do it is:
1: The letter "i" for team-only voice.
2: The letter "p" for public.
I'm pretty sure it works for me that way. I don't have to keep it held down while using the "f" key. I tap it once to toggle back and forth.
When admin's go into admin-mode, their voice becomes public across all channels, even the spectators can hear.

Thanks McLovin
I'll try that, never realized I had to toggle back to team. Should've just had team / public speak like they did team / public messages.

Re: Public Voice Chat
That's correct, you hit/tap whatever key you have programmed for public chat, then press your talk key like normal. To switch back, hit the key for team chat, then the talk key to talk only to your tem again.
Yeah, admins can cheat on this, I have a hot key programmed to log in as admin and another to log out. Sometimes I hit the log out key, but both teams still hear me. I think the switching of public/team channels is a bit glitchy.

Re: Public Voice Chat
So if you play on another server they can read your omni admin keybind, correct?
So be faithful and don't have mutliple partners...lol.
And Admins can see/set other admins passwords..with the ultimate control being admin file access.
So how do I see someone's keybinds? I want to see how many keybind a shock combo

Re: Public Voice Chat
Wow. I did not know this. I hardly ever play any other servers anymore.
Thanks, I'll keep this in mind, maybe have an extra set when I go on other servers, just in case.

Re: Public Voice Chat
One way is through ClanManager, where an admin can which will return the key's value to their console.
Code: Select all
cm cmdonplayer get input KEY
