Hospitaler 3.0

Hospitaler 3.0
- Updated the health from 3000 to 5000
- Updated Vehicle Speed faster than Tiamat, just a bit slower than a Pallas.

And this is quite the vehicle
Driver - similar to Tiamat
Gunners 1-4 Shield with Blast m- these make a Paladin like shield that STOPS damage.
5-6 Link Turrets... fairly powerful (think link tank/badger). They do NOT heal the Hospitaler though (either directly or via drain)
7-8 Twin Beam Turrets.

So this all make this a pretty powerful and versatile MAS, especially with a couple of gunners.
Its on UnknownWay and several Randomizers.

And the Singularity Cannon is equal to a Leviathan.

A couple of items here:

- Increase the main cannon power to = Tiamat
- Fix the twin beam seats so damage doesn't boot you out.

Last night, JoeKamalToe and a couple of others were complaining it was "useless". They must have missed Termy, Snarf and I. I had Linkatron and I think Snarf and I were linking each other on HSH-Xmas...quite powerful. And Twin Beams good against flyers.
Haven't seen too much use of the shields except once, but the fact that you can shield incoming tank fire is also pretty decent.

Phred was using the shields but when the shields are up, it blocks the singularity cannon from firing.

I think you can move/rotate the shield down to clear the cannon.

Yes but he had it raised up blocking the cannon

Version 3.1 on Server
  • Main Cannon does damage similar to Tiamat/Kraken... slightly less damage but more knockback. (figure why have everything always the same). BTW For those interested in the numbers Levi base damage is 1000, Tiamat/Kraken 2000, Hospitaler is 1800 on the big gun
  • Increased Damage on Twin Beams to match other twin beams.
  • Fixed Twin Beam seats so you don't get booted out when vehicle takes damage.

For some reason the Hospitalier glitched tonight on Mass Destruction.

If you switched from the primary seat to any of the others, you'd be stuck in that seat until you exit and then have to re-enter. Also the POV from any of the alternate seats was off.

So reviewing this.

I am not sure I agree with "its so weak compared to other MAS".
As you can see below Main Cannon doesn't match Tiamat/Kraken (2000 pts) but at 1800 its way more powerful than stock Levi (1000). So I think that's fine (all have same range/damage radius)

RearGun (Twin Beams) seats 7/8 do 275 pts, 2500000 momentum (HellHound does 300/150000) so less damage (you'll likely get more than one shot easily in MAS) and more knockback. I think that's pretty good too.

Adjusting LinkGun seats 6/7. Code used was some old code from original link tank, so I have to refactor for heal bonus and make them consistent.
Probably make them each equivalent to Link Tank Gun. Question is should the do a small amount of self heal from enemies? Maybe 10%?
Plus the Original didn't support link multipliers (it wasn't coded right), now if you link the Hospitaler the link turrets get multiplier like the link tanks.. this doesn't (but could) apply to the other weapons too, but not sure that makes sense?

I could also make the shield blast heal its self much like the EONS crusader.

I still feel like the hospitalizer link turrets should heal itself while healing an ally. We already have the vamp tank, tick scorpion, lampery being offensive link vehicles that heal off of attacking, so it would be nice to have a support link vehicle that heals off of supporting. Just imagine the teamplay that could happen on maps where players drive up to the hospitalizer to heal up.
