Maybe tweak that a bit:

Should give us :
Fully linking node by yourself: 7pts (4 for node, .8*4, 3 for linking/linkers shared)
Destroying node: 4pts
Linking up a very weak, unlocked node: up to 4
Isolated cut off nodes, 2pts each.

Thoughts?

sounds good. It's a fair compromise. I think anonymous does make good points, but we also know that linking a node is currently a weakness. Nobody wants to get out of their vehicle and link the node, but everybody is happy to sit back and destroy nodes from afar. If nobody is linking nodes then you lose.

Changes

- fix players running around after game ended
- add new config value bNodeHealBonusForLockedNodes. This turns on the node heal bonus for locked nodes. Default is false, so locked nodes don't get the heal bonus percent.

So node scoring should be lower now, and netspeed should allow up to 15000 (server max setting elsewhere is 15000)

netspeed setting is working. You have to manually set it though if you want it higher than 10000.

Maybe set minnetspeed to 10001 to unlock the fps for everybody? I know a small number of players have theirs set to 9636 (cable/dsl in the gui), but 375 more shouldn't hurt :)

My only reservation is 10001 going to increase server load because the fps cap is off?

Probably :o :D I'm going to be manually setting mine from now on so their loss :lol: I thought maybe the dropped tick rate would allow 10001 netspeed.

I can set it to 15000 now, thanks. It seems fine on an empty server (packet loss from high fps) but the real tell will be under higher server load.

I have noticed lag while vehicle switching since UTComp (no more quick badger cannon kills), but realize we're pushing to 11 in some respects.

We were only getting 5 pts for fully linking a node.
I also still got points linking a locked node.

I am going to set
NodeHealBonusPct 90
and see how that works, everything else same.
