The config file for emoticons is changed slightly from MutEmoticons_V2. The file itself is called 'Emoticons.ini'

The top entry needs to be changed to match the package, but otherwise everything else is the same.

There is a new 'Emotes' sub menu in F5 menu that shows all the emoticons available. Emoticons can be enabled/disabled on the server with 'bEnableEmoticons' option.

There are players on right now so I'll load this up later tonight and fix the config file.

Is there a way to check the emoticons so they only trigger on whole words?

We get Slava Uk(rainy stormcloud)y.

And worse yet we get (Poop pile face)ty, as in pooty. So disparaging to an admin --I was so upset I cried for an hour last night.






Ok, not really. :D I did get a good laugh out of it though, but it might make it hard to read when there's emoticon words inside other words.

We can change the triggers. We should probably change them to match discord and other places (like our forums). They are usually surrounded by : e.g. :poo:

This is done. 'word' emoticons are surrounded by : now, but I left the symbol emoticons like : ) alone

Bringing this up to see if anyone agrees, but is it possible to change the death messages to only green? With all those colors (and now emoticons) in the text chat, it makes texting actual messages very hard to see. Do we have control over this? If not color, then bold/italic/ or font sizes? I think my ideal would be something like this:

Red chat: Default red, bold, 100% opaque
Blue chat: default blue, bold, 100% opaque
Team chat: Green (perhaps a different shade), bold, 100% opaque
Death messages: Default, or somewhat see-through if possible
Spec chat: default yellow
Game messages: default white

Also, mine is causing a glitch where the messages appear on top of where I'm about to type so that can make typing confusing at times.

I know voice chat is more effective, but I know that text chatting was at least somewhat effective before, where now it feels pretty useless while the action is happening.

I think color of the messages would be something we'd have to code..
