Server is crashing 20220818:1800 MDT

Reshred and me are online and it has crashed 3 times in a row in the last 15 minutes. Game starts, plays for a while, then crashes. Loads a new map, etc.

I did manually restart the server a few times adding in some scoring configs, but no one was on, until snarf came on during MasterShower (20:11pm Eastern). Maybe there was a glitch and it showed no one on, but you guys were trying to connect and I was restarting...

For whatever it was worth, game performance was really especially bad yesterday. I loaded into Kitchensink, and my UI wouldn't load. ESC button didn't even bring anything up. I couldn't access any buttons or menus in game. I had to CTRL ALT DELETE in order to close the game and rejoin. Things got better from there, but performance was sub-par all night for whatever reason.

Server was definitely bogged down last night.

On bionyx it wouldn't always show my linkgun beam. On kitchensink I grabbed a fire tank from a spawn. It took a good 4-5 seconds before the turret would render and I couldn't shoot during that time. Driving around in a topless tank with my dick in my hand

Yep, I was getting a delay trying to shoot Aurora shock balls and kept missing them. It was very laggy overall last night.

We had a good number 20-30 players, even 32 I think at one time...so that was good, but it was more load than server could handle. Going to reduce the tick rate (see other thread) to reduce server load. The idea we shouldn't need a high tick rate as we were using it to compensate for old netcode replaced by UTComp.

Update: 20220822:1800 MDT

Server crashed twice in the middle of the game, back to back. Both reshred and me were playing. Indications that something was wrong: Non-responsive controls. Had to go back to the server menus. New map was loaded and running. Snarf was there spectating during the last one. We played Arctic afters with a few more people, but no crashes.

Pooty made a config change last night. Hopefully that fixes it.

There were 4 people on at the time of the last crash, McLovin, Reshred, Anonymous, and myself. Anonymous and I were both spectating. Who was on during the first crash?

I think the first "crash" was me manually restarting the server (see below), are we saying it crashed yesterday? When?
