When people stop shooting like that I assume they have connection issues, or are typing something in chat. I take it as an exercise in restraint, and not adding any more undue possible resentment for accusations of botting etc. Same reason I'd rather get fragged than spam a locked node or kill unoccupied vehicles. Honestly thought he'd take advantage of the mercy and buzz off the locked node, guess not.
