So the hosting company had to upgrade PHP so it can continue to get security updates. This only affects the forum/UTstats, doesn't have any impact on the UT Game Server.
We need to upgrade the forum software (its automated so shouldn't be too bad).
We would need to fix the UTStats, but I don't really have the bandwidth or desire....its useful, but right now with the server crashes, I'd rather focus on that and if I can get around to it check the errors on UTStats and see if its an easy fix.

Posting a message also reports an error... although it seems to work.
Edit: Maybe only quoting is an issue.

Re: PHP upgrade..
Forum is upgraded to the latest version, which does support PHP 8 as needed.
I have no idea what the UTStats fix is...might be 10 minutes might be hours. Maybe this weekend I'll take a look, spend 30 minutes on it. Either its back up or forget it, not really worth the time IMO.

Re: PHP upgrade..
I think I've fixed the UTStats issues. I've re-enabled stats on the server. Unfortunately I need to test out the stats and the only way is to get new stats (the database will ignored repeat loads, and there's not an easy way to delete matches). So as of today its back on lets see if it logs properly.

I played through a game of BiggerBeerBattle. It doesn't seem like it recorded.

Re: PHP upgrade..
It only records with two humans. I changed it now should record with one human. Now we will have daily matches with Ankeedo on MegaArena and Mclovin's true infatuation with Minus-BadgerMe up.
Re: PHP upgrade..
Doesn’t hurt anything having their silly one man games recorded does it? It’s not like we’re worried about that overloading the server or anything, lol.

Re: PHP upgrade..
One benefit of one-man-game recording is: We can find out who is cycling through maps during the day to defeat the map cool-down period.
But I don't think that's always the intent.
I bitch and moan about players:
1. sitting idle,
2. reading the UTComp menus,
3. playing around with zounds during an intense game,
4. taking a valuable asset such as the mino and not using it effectively.
We encourage people to practice during the day to better their skills. Maybe that's what they are doing instead of cycling maps.
PS: I don't play bots in a one-man-game. I wait until a live player shows and then play.
