I'm not sure how well this will play on the server with all the physics blocks. The initial stack of them makes my fps drop quite a bit but then it clears up once they've been knocked around.

This will not be my favorite map by any means but the players asked for it.

This map also spiked the CPU to >80%. It was fun for a while...then it got a bit frustrating especially when it just became continuous spawn killing.

The boxes are cool though.... I think they'd be useful in certain maps.

I missed most of it, but it looks like it went as well as expected :lol:

Maybe when I get off work today I can try fixing it. The center node needs cover and needs fewer physics blocks. Maybe fewer vehicles.

It would be fun to have a vehicle that isn't affect by the spank..... not sure if there is one. Or maybe add Dark Nepthys...lol.

Yeah without cover it was impossible to build the center node.... maybe a dome with some small opening offset from the map corners..

It became almost unplayable after awhile, assuming after the CPU spike over 80%. I started getting what looked like about 15 fps and tons of lag.

It just comes down to who can spawn kill the enemy vehicles most efficiently to allow your team to build the middle. A step up from spambox but not by much. Modernizing classic evil dead with boost and link scorps would play smoother

I'm still rooting for the EvilDead scoprion arena. It'd be bumper cars-ish. Maybe a few more jumps. EONS scorps with the boost etc.

Yeah wouldn't mind this map getting flushed down the toilet BUT I also think these arena-like maps are great for teaching people how to use the vehicles. Torlan with the link tanks has really got people understanding how they work now.

Also the movable boxes are cool. For a while I was trying to move them to the enemy side to clog up their core/node access.

New version, download here CS-SpankArena-v2.zip

Changes
- Add roof and walls around the center node
- Add roof over all nodes and cores
- Reduce the number of boxes, make them larger, and fix KarmaParams so they work better with vehicles
- Add concussion rifle everywhere
- Add SSR

CSArenaDestruction.u changed, so update this one also. With fewer boxes it performs much better.

*edit* This is on the server now
