Re: Map list schedule
Just had a thought regarding the same maps getting played over and over again.
Is it possible to have a map not go on cooldown if the player count is less than a certain amount? Like for example if there are only 6 people on, they could repeatedly vote for minus-badgermeup or something like that. That way, especially on tuesdays, all the good maps don't get cycled through early while waiting for people to join. I don't think people would mind being able to vote for the same maps on low playercount, since most of the time we are just killing time until more players join.
A (positive) side effect of this would be that all the maps that get played the night before during primetime would still be on cooldown. What happens now is usually enough maps get played at a low playercount that the cooldown gets cycled through. Making maps that are played at low player count not contribute to the cooldown queue would make it so it isn't fucking junk/dria/minus every damn night.
If the map voting system isn't capable of this change, then I'd argue the size of the cooldown queue should be increased.

There is no setting for that. It would need a mutator.

Re: Map list schedule
sure, playing badgers all night
My friends, I have an idea that will reduce all this psychological suffering and mental exhaustion for you because you see people playing their favorite maps and they are happy about it. I, as a citizen, was under the rule of Saddam Hussein, and I have great experience with such issues. The idea: First, you have to prevent voting forever. Second, you make map lists for every day that are executed automatically. And everyone must obey.
My dears, this is how things are managed under dictatorial rule... and it seems you are still new to this.

Re: Map list schedule
There are a few favorites from the past we neveer play now. Sorry, I left the server for two years and can't rmemeber the names. I am using Steam now and don't have the maps from before.
I know we used to play one where the cores were in front of clifs and there was an underground area where people took the mino all the time. The fliers were always told to to get to the corner nodes fast. Another one was a jungle type map and Enyo would always keep the mino on the hill by the core and just pummel most of the map. it was a rather large map with a few towers throughout. But then agina I also remember we used to play all three versions of Fast and Furious in a row for fun, too.

Kakmo, that is still on the server. Its good map.Another one was a jungle type map and Enyo would always keep the mino on the hill by the core and just pummel most of the map. it was a rather large map with a few towers throughout.
Drawing a blank on this one...where the cores were in front of clifs and there was an underground area where people took the mino all the time. The fliers were always told to to get to the corner nodes fast.
What you'll see is that many like to play the all out Randomizers with tons of vehicles. This why we made maplists on certain days to encourage variety playing other maps. The Randos are fun, but get spammy. I for one don't like to play the same maps every day or every other day. If I had my way map repeat limit would 20+
