I think it's good to reduce the amount of flyers. I kind of think of this map's current status as a "TorlanLinkerMadness But Actually A Map". The Odin is in a useful spot, link chains are useful especially when hidden around the big rocks. With all of that you need to communicate when the next node is going to open. I used to think this map was trash but now like how it's coming along.

Yes, good changes. It should be tank map not a flyer swarm map.
One other thing. I think there should be some teleporters/jump pads on the sides to get on foot players up to the beams around 1. Right now you have to be directly under it and if your team controls one very difficult to hit it. You can shoot it with a tank from sides but would be good to have a way to get there -- maybe a use for the inside of big buildings? Also might want to remove the glass, so that a flyer can get in there to get the goodies.
And I think you could add base raptors to the mix. I think part of the issues is the Mirage Raptor is way OP against vehicles/nodes. Not sure if the Wasp_SeriesII is on there, its also good as it has to get close to hit and makes it less powerful, but it would be good to sneak with it. Maybe, Predator/reaper?
Also, should add GrappleGunOmni to it. That way from the core(s) you could grapple the flyers for a faster start.

Changes:
-Added grapple gun omni to all weapon lockers
-Removed avrils from weapon lockers near the middle. Now that there are jumppads that let players get on the center structure, being able to easily bring avrils up there isn't ideal.
-Fully loaded all weapon lockers with all the normal guns. There were a couple weapon lockers that were missing some weapons. They all have the full complement now.
-Added jumppads to the 4 nodes around the center structure that lets players get up to the structure.
-Added a teleporter to the close primary that goes to the top of the rock formation in front of the node, where there are two energy turrets and some health and shield pickups. This gives a good defensive position to deal with fliers and suppress ground vehicles.
-Moved the double damage pickup to the outside of the elevator it was next to. This allows access to it from fliers and ground vehicles passing by. Its out of the way enough that stains would have to go out of their way to grab instead of being right by a spawnpoint.
I want to avoid diluting the flier pool with shit fliers. If the current fliers are still too strong after the changes to their amount and respawn time, then they can be all downgraded to a lower tier of fliers. Having games where you have op fliers and shit tier fliers at the same time is terrible when all you have left at the nodes/core are the shit tier fliers. There is no point to pull a wasp or stock raptor against a falcon/phoenix/any other strong flier, as you are just cannon fodder, so this leads to sitting around camping a better flier spawn.
I haven't really had an issue dealing with a single mirage raptor or falcon, as they go down fairly quickly to anti air. With the tanks having increased hp, it makes them able to swat fliers much easier. The only issue was when I had to swat 4 fliers in a row just to see more coming.

I think there's the rare cases, where you get multiple mirage raptors... they are more powerful as the projectiles are hard to see and do way more damage to vehicles/nodes.I haven't really had an issue dealing with a single mirage raptor or falcon, as they go down fairly quickly to anti air.

Indeed, which means that some of them are now very hard to take out with a single flyer. The Heavy Goliath and Mino are sometimes impossible to get near with a skilled gunner. Often the only way to bring them down is with a swarm of flyers.
But on this map, Minos and tanks should dominate it I guess.

Not sure if the intent was to use the Old Stormcaster, one of the pickups has the original version that hurts both teams. The newer one StormcasterV3.u only hurts the other team.
I also feel the Mirage Raptor is too much here.....its very strong against nodes/vehicles and its projectiles are hard to see normally and this map with its coloring/effects makes it more so. Its another one that could probably use a slight tweak... but I think on this map it would be better without it, although its a good counter to the super strong tanks.
And tonight our stains didn't read the sign.

The old stormcaster was a relic of the original map. I'll replace it whenever I update the map.
I think the fliers are fairly well balanced now. Its a lot harder for me to jump in a flier and repeatedly run the map since there are fewer fliers and they take longer to respawn. I find that I'm more impactful driving or linking a tank, which is never the case on any other map. The mirage raptor does a bunch of damage, but it will get melted by any of the tank/bender turrets if it stays out in the open. Couple that with the large selection of link vehicles to keep the tank/bender healed and the mirage raptor can't do much other than picking off stragglers. I do think the mirage raptor projectiles need to be easier to see in general, as its hard to see them even on a map like Minus-Kitchensink.
Another thing that I didn't see players using was the teleporter to the top of the rock guarding the close primary. Thats a perfect place to hop in an energy turret, shock rifle/avril spam to supress fliers, or snipe the campers on the center structure, all while being relatively safe from tank fire.
Last night your team was definitely full of stains, which no amount of map tweaking is going to fix. At least it wasn't as bad as one time where I hijacked a hurricane when its driver decided to get out of it to build a center node, then hijacked a fire tank when the driver bailed out when it was low hp. My team healed me up and I spent the majority of that round in a hijacked tank.

For sure. At one point someone had abandonded the Mobreaker, Hurricane, Vampire tank.... not mention I got the mino once, and to fair, fucked up my mino run, but then never saw it again...Last night your team was definitely full of stains
The stains kept taking them and the link nuke. Just a pitiful effort all around.
